Golden opportunity to enjoy the good life

Golden opportunity to enjoy the good life

CELEBRITIES from Hollywood’s Golden Age often lived in hotels and now older people in Worcester could enjoy the star treatment with a move to Eastbank Court.

Featuring a hair and beauty salon, licensed restaurant, library and activities room, the Aspen Retirement development frequently draws comparisons to a five-star hotel.

The apartments themselves, which are for purchase, are surprisingly spacious with more than enough room for all the home comforts. Plus, with a thriving social scene there are plenty of opportunities for homeowners to get to know their new neighbours.

Liz Herring, sales and marketing manager for Aspen, says: “In days gone by it was quite common for stars to live in hotels. For example Marlene Dietrich stayed at the Hotel Lancaster in Paris for three years, Marilyn Monroe resided at the Hollywood Roosevelt for two years and when she was married to Nicky Hilton, Elizabeth Taylor made the Hotel Bel-Air her home. While Eastbank Court doesn’t quite match up to those standards, the apartments are perfect for those who enjoy the finer things in life.

“Homeowners can relax while being pampered in the treatment room, which is used regularly by a visiting chiropodist, therapeutic masseuse and now a reflexologist, then indulge in a spot of lunch with a glass of wine or two in the licensed restaurant. There’s no need to worry about housework as regular domestic help is included in the service charge.”

Residents have formed a social committee and organise regular events including themed meals in the restaurant, a film night on a Wednesday, plus bingo and quizzes to keep minds active.

There’s a manager on duty around the clock for added peace of mind, with the option to add extra care if and when it’s needed.

One-bedroom apartments at Eastbank Court are available from £184,950, or with Aspen’s unique Aspen Assist scheme can be purchased from as little as £147,960.

“The spaciousness of the apartments really does need to be seen to be believed,” Liz adds.

“The bedrooms are large enough for twin single beds and the hall could easily accommodate a dresser. Kitchens include a washer/dryer so there’s no need to use a communal laundry; while sumptuous bathrooms have a bath walk-in shower. Plus, with a very comfortable guest suite available for when friends and family come to stay, there’s no need for a spare bedroom anymore.”

Located on Eastbank Drive, Northwick, the Aspen Retirement development is ideally placed in a quiet residential area. There’s a post office, shop and chemist just 250 yards away as well as the bus stop taking you into the city centre. There are even motorised scooters available for homeowners to hire.

The ease of living afforded by a move to Eastbank Court could even start before moving day as Aspen offers a range of purchase options including help to sell, which includes paying agents fees, and shared equity. Any of these can be explained simply but in detail by the Aspen sales consultant.

To find out more about life at Eastbank Court, visit the development, where the sales office is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Alternatively, call 01905 455 182 or see www.aspenretirement.co.uk/developments/eastbank-court.
