Say goodbye to loneliness with a move to Eastbank Court

Say goodbye to loneliness with a move to Eastbank Court

NEW research suggests that older men living alone tend to be lonelier than their female counterparts, but a move to Eastbank Court in Worcester could easily put an end to that. Research from the charity Independent Age and the International Longevity Centre UK suggests that loneliness amongst older men without partners is higher than it is with women. The report’s authors warn of an increase in loneliness and isolation as more men live alone in later years.

The solution for those living in the Worcester area could be a move to Eastbank Court, where they can strike up friendships with their new neighbours and enjoy the companionship of likeminded individuals.
Liz Herring, sales and marketing manager for Aspen, says: “A massive 76% of older men without partners are reported to be lonely, but it doesn’t have to be that way as living alone doesn’t mean they have to be lonesome. The great thing about moving to somewhere like Eastbank Court is that there are excellent communal facilities where they can meet likeminded individuals perhaps over a game of Scrabble in the library or a drink in the on-sitelicensed bar. The spacious one-bedroom apartments are
perfect for the active retired who want to continue living independently, yet safe in the knowledge that there’s a manager on site at all times.”

Male or female, new residents are sure to receive a warm welcome from their new neighbours; while those who downsize from a draughty older property could feel the warmth in other ways. Many homeowners have found that by moving to Eastbank Court they’ve been able to save money, as their fuel bills have dropped quite signicantly.
