Retirement apartment with added Christmas sparkle

Retirement apartment with added Christmas sparkle

A NEW show apartment complete with festive decorations is opening in Worcester to highlight how retirees could spend their Christmas future. The charity Friends of the Elderly estimates that 500,000 older people will be alone on Christmas Day. But those who move to a brand new apartment at Eastbank Court will be able to enjoy an active social life all year round in the company of their new neighbours.

To showcase the spaciousness of the individual properties and the benefits of the hotel-style communal facilities, Aspen Retirement is opening a new show apartment on Wednesday (November 18). Liz Herring, sales and marketing manager for Aspen, said: “Following sales success at Eastbank Court we’ve moved into a new one-bedroom show apartment. As it’s decorated with touches of red we’ve decided to get into the festive spirit and add some Christmas decorations for the next few weeks. We’re extending a warm welcome to anyone thinking of moving here and would encourage them to bring a friend or relative when they look around.

“Many will be pleasantly surprised by how spacious our apartments are, with plenty of room for home comforts. However, it’s the range of communal facilities and social activities that means Eastbank Court really comes into its own in the winter months. For example, homeowners could have their hair styled in the salon, then meet friends and neighbours for a spot of lunch in the restaurant, followed by a game of Scrabble in the activities room - all without ever having to venture outside.”

The development also offers a communal lounge; conservatory style lounge known as the garden room, plus a library. The on-site restaurant with licensed bar, known as the piano room, ensures that homeowners can enjoy a nutritious meal. They can also invite friends and family for lunch without having to worry about washing up. There’s a whole host of activities homeowners can participate in from film nights, to knit ‘n’ natter sessions, bingo and themed meals in the restaurant.

Eastbank Court offers a choice of stylish, spacious, energy efficient one and two-bedroom apartments with prices from £184,950. There’s a manager on site around the clock, offering homeowners and their families peace of mind. Ninety minutes of domestic help a week is included in a service charge, which also covers buildings insurance, window cleaning and maintaining the gardens and communal areas. Plus, with the option to add extra care if and when it’s needed, moving to Eastbank Court now could prevent a further move in the future.

Located on Eastbank Drive, Northwick, the Aspen Retirement development is ideally placed in a quiet residential area. There’s a post office, shop and chemist close by; while the city centre is easily accessible by bus. The new show apartment, complete with Christmas decorations, will be open from
Wednesday (November 18). For more information  call 01905 455 182 or see www.aspenretirement.co.uk/developments/eastbank-court.
