Moving costs covered and live FREE* in a luxurious retirement apartment

AS Eastbank Court and Lodge near completion, Aspen Retirement is offering buyers the chance to move and live ‘free’ at the luxurious development in Worcester.

With building work almost complete, the final few apartments will soon be ready to move into.

To celebrate, Aspen will pay up to £1,000 towards the cost of removals and allow customers to ‘live free for a year’ by covering 12 months’ worth of fees. The latter could save homeowners more than £6,000 in total.

The valuable incentive covers the service charge, ground rent, the cost of renting a car park space, as well as a contribution to the reserve fund for the long-term maintenance of the development.

Aspen’s Hettie Shore says: “It’s almost the end of an era at Eastbank Court and Eastbank Lodge. We’ve already taken down the signs outside, which could lead people to believe they’ve missed the chance to live here. That’s not so, however, and we have a final few lovely apartments almost ready to move into and made all the more attractive by the incentives available.”

Priced from £199,950, the last remaining apartments include what is currently the sales office on the ground floor of the main building, but will be transformed into a lovely one-bedroom home. There’s also a pair of generously proportioned two-bedroom apartments with good-sized kitchens in Eastbank Lodge.

Both options give buyers the chance to spend their retirement in hotel-style surroundings, where they will have the support of friendly staff and the companionship of like-minded individuals.

“Facilities here have been compared with a five-star hotel – there’s a hair salon, library, activities room and even a licensed restaurant, so there’s no need to cook if you don’t want to,” Hettie adds.

“We also have a lovely garden room and conservatory, plus beautiful landscaped gardens.”

The service charge covers some items householders would ordinarily pay for themselves on any property, such as buildings insurance. It also covers staffing costs for cleaning, gardening and security, giving homeowners and their families the reassurance that help is at hand around the clock. It even subsidises the cost of meals in the licensed restaurant.

Aspen’s properties can be bought and enjoyed by those aged 60-plus. And purchasers aged 70 and over could pay just 80% of the price of a brand new apartment using the Aspen Equity Share scheme. With this, Aspen Retirement Ltd will retain a 20% Equity Share interest in the property until it is resold at a later date – reducing the amount the customer has to pay.

A small number of resale apartments are also available within the development.

Located on Eastbank Drive, in the Northwick area of Worcester, Eastbank Court and Lodge are ideally placed in a quiet residential area. There’s a post office, shop and chemist just 250 yards away, as well as the bus stop for journeys into the city centre. There are even motorised scooters available for homeowners to hire, showing every little detail has been considered.
